Have you ever had a moment or decision that was the cause of a major change in your life?
Whenever you hear of reasons why you should join a Direct Sales Company, you typically hear the same things: financial freedom, you can work from home, be your own boss, free products, etc. but nobody could have put into words the countless other ways this decision would change my life.
I was first introduced to Thirty-One back in 2011 when I attended a party that a coworker hosted. I fell in love with their bags and became a regular customer. After the birth of my daughter, I started working part-time and decided to become a Thirty-One consultant in February of 2014 to make some extra money.
When I joined, I learned that Thirty-One was a faith based company and the name was based on the virtues of the Proverbs 31 woman. I honestly had no idea what that meant at the time cause I had never read Proverbs before. Though it was a cool tidbit of information I never thought twice about it because I was more concerned with the fact that they made really cute bags.
When I first started I did incredibly well. People were so excited and so enthusiastic I was selling bags all over the place. As a result of my early success I was able to earn free registration to their annual conference in Ohio and something in me knew that I should go. I had also saved up enough money from my bag sales to cover the travel expenses so with my husband’s blessing I signed up.
So in July of 2014, I attended my first Thirty-One Conference. I traveled from Virginia to Ohio with my Thirty-One sponsor who was also a Christian but there was something different about her. In the few times that I interacted with her, I noticed that she was different from other Christians I knew. Her love for God was so genuine and I was intrigued.
And then during our conference before our general session began, we were all invited to attend their worship service. All of my roommates for conference including my sponsor were going so I decided to join them.
I had never experienced worship like that before. The arena was packed with other Thirty-One consultants and everyone was singing along passionately to these songs that I had never heard before. It was such a stark contrast to the unenthusiastic singing of church hymns that I was accustomed to. It was a whole new experience for me and it showed me a way to experience God in a more passionate way.
I had a heartfelt, intimate moment with God that day and I will never forget standing in that arena, with tears in my eyes because I knew that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I knew that God introduced me to this company and allowed for my early success for the sole purpose of leading me right to Him.
I was changed. I knew my life was never going to be the same. This was the moment that began my journey with God and it all began with the decision to sell bags.
